The Greatest Films of the Last Five Years

Of course this can’t be THE definitive list of “The Greatest Films of The Last Five Years” but it’s the ones that sprang to mind while we recorded this. We’re here to debunk the notion that “they don’t make ‘em like that anymore.” Because they kinda do but you’re missing them because you’re a slave to the algorithm and marketing. Ron said during the recording that we’d provide a list of all the movies we talk about but, um no, just listen to the damn episode and you’ll see we aren’t mentioning any Marvel flicks or stuff everybody knows. This is some populist, yet gourmet shit we’re talking about. These (for our money, which may have a different exchange rate than yours) are movies made recently that aren’t franchises or reboots and have the ability to move you by illustrating some true aspect of the human experience.
